Patent & Trademark

With a provisional patent and a trademark filed, we are currently in the process of laying groundwork to protect certain novel features of the ACLS version of Code Clock.

To summarize the unique features covered by the IP:

• Hardware Device: The physical design and functionality of the Code Clock device.

• Attachment Features: How the device attaches to the code cart, ensuring its accessibility during emergencies.

• Task/Role Assignment: The system's ability to assign specific tasks and roles to team members during an emergency.

• Visual Prompts for ACLS: The use of visual cues to guide the team through the Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) algorithm.

Provisional patents have been filed for the BLS and bystander editions of Code Clock.

As of September 2024, Code Clock is in the process of being trademarked.
